The department will host the January 2027 edition of Forum Descartes, an annual event that brings together specialists in early modern philosophy from universities across Europe and the United States. The most recent Forum was held at Utrecht University and was co-organized by the Center for the History of Philosophy and Science at Radboud University. This followed on from the previous edition that took place at the Paris Institute for Advanced Study.
